Lady Roadrunners earn first road victory

SFCC (3-0) outscored North Arkansas 23-10 in the first quarter, both teams put up 19 points in the second quarter. The Lady Roadrunners held North Arkansas to 11 points in both the third and fourth quarters to secure the victory.
SFCC had four players in double-figure scoring. Freshman guard Chloe Reed led the balanced scoring attack with 25 points, including five three-point field goals. Sophomore guard Zoe Newland contributed 19 points. Sophomore guard Sophia Edwin added 13 points. Sophomore forward Ellie Buscher recorded another double-double with 11 points and a team-high 22 rebounds. Buscher also led the team with six assists, seven blocked shots, and four steals. Buscher is the reigning Region 16 Player of the Week.
SFCC will return to action on Friday, Nov. 7 with a game against Iowa Western Community College in the Reiver Classic in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
