Lady Roadrunners finish tied for 11th at Southwest Baptist

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners track and field team scored 13 points as a team to finish tied for 11^th at the Southwest Baptist University Bearcat Invitational on Saturday, March 28 in Bolivar Mo.

Freshman Callie McWilliams of Shelbina, Mo. recorded the best finish for SFCC. McWilliams finished second in the triple jump with a jump of 11.77 meters.

The Lady Roadrunners 4x100m A relay team finished seventh with a time of 49.84.

Freshman Avri Fox of Warrensburg, Mo. finished eighth in the shot put with a throw of 11.25 meters.

Freshman Vivian Barton of Savannah, Mo. finished eighth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.17.

"We just keep getting better," said head coach Brad Hagedorn. "I am very proud of how they are competing right now. I was not expecting to see this type of improvement this early in the outdoor season. If the trend continues, our last couple of meets could be quite exciting."

SFCC will return to action on Wednesday, April 8 at Coffeyville Community College.
