Barton leads Lady Roadrunners at Darren Young Classic
Grinnell, Iowa-State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners women’s track and field team came home with four top eight finishes from the Darren Young Classic on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 13-14 in Grinnell, Iowa.

Freshman Vivian Barton of Savannah, Mo. finished first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.10. Barton finished second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.76.
Freshman Callie McWilliams of Shelbina, Mo. finished third in the long jump with a jump of 5.10 meters.
Sophomore Laiysha Freeman of Kansas City, Mo. finished sixth in the long jump with a jump of 5.06 meters.
"It was a long trip to and from Grinnell, however, we rose to the task and competed extremely well," said Head Coach Brad Hagedorn. "We were able to get a great win out of Vivian, as well as a load of personal best and season bests from the rest of our team. We conclude our indoor season next Friday at Illinois College."
SFCC will return to action on Friday, Feb. 20 at the Illinois College Hilltop Classic.
