Lady Roadrunners Basketball blending the old with the new
Sedalia, Mo.- The 2025-2026 Lady Roadrunners’ basketball team consists of five returners, four of which bring back experience from the Lady Roadrunners Region Tournament Championship team.
Sedalia, Mo.- The 2025-2026 Lady Roadrunners' basketball team consists of five returners, four of the returning players bring back experience from the Lady Roadrunners Region Tournament Championship team. The team advanced to the National Tournament last year. The roster also contains nine newcomers to the program.
Ellie Buscher is a 6'1 forward from St. Louis, Mo. who averaged 9.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per contest for SFCC last season, while shooting almost 52% from the field. Buscher played in 31 games.
Carolyn Foster is a 5'10 forward from O'Fallon, Ill. who played in 20 games last season for SFCC. Foster scored 3.2 points and pulled down 3.9 rebounds per game.
Sophia Edwin is a 5-5 guard from Killeen, Texas who played in 29 games last season for SFCC. Edwin scored seven points and dished out 2.1 assists per game. Edwin shot 31.9% from beyond the three-point arc.
Jonise Barcene is a 5-6 guard from Cocoa, Fla. who played in eight games last season, before having her season ended by an injury. Barcene averaged three points per game, to go along with 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists.
Taylor Wilson is a 6-0 forward from Killeen, Texas. Wilson transferred from Midwestern State University. Wilson sat out last semester at SFCC. Wilson averaged 13 points, six rebounds and three assists as a senior in high school. Wilson earned first-team all-district honors in 2023, 24 and academic all-district in 2023, 24.
Newcomers
Kamaree Pollard is a 5-11 combo guard from Mount Vernon High School in Illinois. Pollard averaged 18 points, five rebounds and five assists per game as a senior. Pollard was named a Top 70 player in Illinois in Class 3A. Pollard was a 1,000-point scorer and the eighth-all-time leading scorer at Mount Vernon High School. Pollard was also a three-time first-team all-conference player and a three-time first-team all-state player.
Z'Mharie Barber is a 6-2 forward from Palm Bay High School in Melbourne, Fla. Barber helped her team to a state championship in 2025. Barber also helped her team to a runner-up finish in 2021.
Chloe Reed is a 6-2 guard from Lutheran High School in St. Charles, Mo. Reed averaged nine points, five rebounds and five assists per game as a senior. Reed was a McDonald's All-American Nominee and a 1,000-point scorer in high school. Reed helped her team to a Class 5 State Championship. Reed was a four-time all-conference player, conference defensive player of the year, and a four-time all-district selection.
Maliyah White is a 5-9 combo guard from Hopkins High School in Hopkins, Minn. White averaged eight points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals as a senior. White was named a Top 60 Player in Minnesota. White helped her team to a 4A State Championship in 2025, and two more state runner-up finishes during her career. White was also a two-time all-conference player.
Zoe Newland is a 5-10 guard from Pattonville High School in St. Louis, Mo. who is transferring to SFCC from Drury University. Newland averaged 12 points, four rebounds and three steals per game. Newland was named first-team all-conference twice and first-team all-district twice.
Kaedynce Falatea is a 5-10 guard/forward who played high school basketball at West High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. Falatea averaged eight points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals per game. Falatea was a three-time first-team all-region selection in high school.
London Wilson is a 5-7 combo guard from St. Joseph, Mo. who played high school basketball at Mid-Buchanan High School. Wilson shot 44% from beyond the arc as a senior in high school.
Are'Ana Grant is a point guard from Warrensburg High School in Warrensburg, Mo.
Kelsey Frederick is a guard from Novinger, Mo.
"We have a battle-tested sophomore core that knows what it takes to win, and a talented group of freshmen," head coach Nicole Collier said. "We are long, athletic, and eager. We can attack both ends of the floor and score inside and out. We are hungry, locked in and ready to work!"
Kaitlyn Everts will also make her return to the program as an assistant coach. Everts most recently served as a student assistant at Northwest Missouri State University while finishing her undergraduate degree. She spent a year as a student-athlete at SFCC. Everts stepped into a role as a student assistant coach during her final year at SFCC.
"We are excited to welcome Kaitlyn Everts to our coaching staff as the newest member of the Lady Roadrunners," Collier said. "She steps in to replace Coach Tyler and brings a deep understanding of our program. Kaitlyn is no stranger to State Fair; she played under me during her first year here and now returns with a passion for the game and a commitment to developing our athletes!"
