Lady Roadrunners fall at Three Rivers College
The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners softball team dropped a pair of Region 16 games at Three Rivers College on Thursday, April 9 in Poplar Bluff.

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners softball team dropped a pair of Region 16 games at Three Rivers College on Thursday, April 9 in Poplar Bluff. SFCC (17-18) fell in game one 7-4. The Lady Roadrunners lost game two 5-0.
Sophomore utility player Jenna Herald of Monett had a pair of hits. Freshman outfielder Madelyn Backes of Bonnots Mill also had a pair of hits, including a double and a run scored. Freshman utility player Jaden Mauzey of Mendon contributed a pair of hits and a run scored. Freshman third baseman Morgan Marshall of St. Joseph and sophomore catcher Chelsye Graham of Ash Grove drove in a run each.
The SFCC offense put together nine hits.
Pitcher/second baseman Elana Clark of Maysville got the start in the circle for SFCC. Clark pitched five innings and gave up seven runs on 12 hits. Clark struck out three and walked three. Sophomore pitcher/utility player Valerie Meyer of Houstonia pitched one inning out of the bullpen.
In game two, the SFCC offense was held to just six hits. Freshman utility player Shyanne Weibrecht of Perryville had a pair of hits to lead SFCC offensively. Backes, freshman pitcher/second baseman Grace Evans of Fulton, Graham, and sophomore first baseman/outfielder Courtney Dehn of Dearborn had a hit each.
Freshman pitcher Corinne Tuck of Braymer went the distance in the circle for SFCC. Tuck gave up five unearned runs on four hits, struck out four, and walked one.
SFCC will return to action on Saturday, April 11 in a Region 16 doubleheader at Jefferson College. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
