Lady Roadrunners fall at Crowder
The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners softball team lost a pair of games to Crowder College on Tuesday, March 24 by scores of 9-0 in five innings because of the run rule and 12-4 in five innings because of the run rule.

Neosho, Mo.-The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners softball team lost a pair of games to Crowder College on Tuesday, March 24 by scores of 9-0 in five innings because of the run rule and 12-4 in five innings because of the run rule.
In game one, SFCC (10-11, 0-4 in Region 16) was held hitless.
Freshman pitcher Corinne Tuck of Braymer got the start in the circle for SFCC. Tuck pitched two innings, gave up eight runs, (four earned runs) on five hits, struck out three, and walked five. Freshman pitcher Addison Wallace of Carthage came out of the bullpen to pitch two innings, gave up a run on two hits, and walked one.
In game two, SFCC put together four runs on eight hits. Sophomore pitcher/utility player Valerie Meyer of Houstonia led the SFCC offense with three hits, an RBI, and a run scored. Freshman utility player Shyanne Weibrecht of Perryville had a pair of hits and a run scored. Sophomore utility player Jenna Herald of Monett recorded a triple. Sophomore catcher Chelsye Graham of Ash Grove added a double, a run scored, and an RBI. Freshman outfielder Madelyn Backes of Bonnots Mill scored a run. Freshman third baseman Morgan Marshall of St. Joseph had a hit and two RBIs.
Sophomore pitcher/second baseman Elana Clark of Maysville got the start in the circle for SFCC. Clark pitched four innings, gave up eight runs (four earned runs) on 10 hits, struck out four, and walked three.
SFCC will return to action on Friday, March 27 with a doubleheader at Moberly Area Community College. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
