Lady Roadrunners bounce back to win their final game of the day
Myrtle Beach, S.C.-The State Fair Community College Lady Roadrunners softball team lost their first game of day two of the Fastpitch Dreams Classic 10-0 in five innings because of the run rule to Lackawanna College.

Myrtle Beach, S.C.-The State Fair Community College Lady Roadrunners softball team lost their first game of day two of the Fastpitch Dreams Classic 10-0 in five innings because of the run rule to Lackawanna College. SFCC (8-9) fell to South Suburban College 6-2 in their second game of the day. The Lady Roadrunners defeated Mohawk Valley College 7-2 in their final game of the day on Wednesday, March 18 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
In game one against Lackawanna, the SFCC offense was held to just two hits. Sophomore utility player Jenna Herald of Monett recorded a double. Freshman pitcher Corinne Tuck of Braymer had the other hit for SFCC.
Freshman pitcher/second baseman Grace Evans of Fulton got the start in the circle for SFCC. Evans pitched one inning and gave up eight runs, six earned runs on six hits. Evans struck out one and walked two. Freshman pitcher Addison Wallace of Carthage pitched three innings out of the bullpen and gave up two runs; one earned on six hits. Wallace struck out one.
In game two, the SFCC offense produced eight hits in the contest. Freshman utility player/shortstop Haylee Cobb of Warsaw had a pair of hits including a double, to go along with a run scored and an RBI. Freshman third baseman Morgan Marshall of St. Joseph also had a double and a run scored. Freshman utility player Jaden Mauzey of Mendon had a hit and drove in a run.
Wallace got the start in the circle for SFCC. Wallace pitched one inning, gave up two runs, one earned on four hits, and struck out three.
In game three against Mohawk Valley, freshman utility player Shyanne Weibrecht of Perryville had four hits to lead the SFCC offense. Weibrecht also drove in a run and scored twice. Marshall had a pair of hits and scored twice. Sophomore catcher Katlyn Starke of Linn drove in a pair of runs. Freshman outfielder/ utility player Jillian Reller of Elsberry hit a home run and drove in a pair of runs. As a team, the SFCC offense put together 12 hits.
Pitcher/utility player Valerie Meyer of Houstonia got the start in the circle for SFCC. Meyer pitched six innings and gave up two runs on four hits. Meyer struck out eight and walked two. Tuck came out of the bullpen and pitched one inning and recorded one strikeout.
