Jenkins leads Roadrunners at the Dewey Allgood Invitational
The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners track and field team brought home eight top eight placings from the Dewey Allgood Invitational hosted by the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Mo. on Saturday, April 18.
The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners track and field team brought home eight top eight placings from the Dewey Allgood Invitational hosted by the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Mo. on Saturday, April 18.
Freshman Colby Jenkins of Brunswick, Mo. finished third in the high jump with a jump of 1.85 meters. Jenkins also finished eighth in the long jump with a jump of 6.62 meters.
Sophomore Zeshaun Ballance-Gray of Kansas City, Mo. finished fifth in the triple jump with a jump of 14.27 meters.
Sophomore Joseph Bland of Versailles Mo. finished sixth in the shot put with a throw of 15.16 meters.
The Roadrunners 4 x 100m relay team finished seventh with a time of 43.67.
Freshman TJ Brown of Independence, Mo. finished seventh in the long jump with a jump of 6.62 meters.
The Roadrunners 4 x 100m relay team finished eighth with a time of 44.78.
Freshman Marcel Milner of Riverside, Mo. finished eighth in the triple jump with a jump of 13.32 meters.
SFCC will return to competition at the Rock Chalk Classic on Friday, May 1.
"Colby Jenkins took third in the high jump," and said assistant coach Kellin Loch. "Joe Bland took sixth in the shot put with a distance of 15.16m, earning him the #15 spot on the NJCAA Outdoor Performance List. The team showed up and contended well, once again, holding their own amongst some strong competition."
