Roadrunners claim 19 top eight finishes at UCM Invitational
Warrensburg, Mo.-The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners track and field team continued their outdoor campaign at the UCM Invitational on Friday, March 20 in Warrensburg, Mo.
Warrensburg, Mo.-The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners track and field team continued their outdoor campaign at the UCM Invitational on Friday, March 20 in Warrensburg, Mo. The event took place at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field.
Sophomore Zeshaun Ballance-Gray of Kansas City, Mo. won the triple jump with a jump of 14.77 meters. Ballance-Gray finished second in the long jump with a jump of 6.72 meters.
Freshman Cash Anderson of Kansas City, Mo. finished second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.21. Anderson also finished second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 59.97.
The Roadrunners 4 x 100m A relay team finished second in a time of 43.13. The Roadrunners 4 x 100m B relay team finished third in a time of 45.88. The Roadrunners 4 x 400m relay teams finished fourth with a time of 3:30.13.
Freshman Marcel Milner of Riverside, Mo. finished third in the triple jump with a jump of 13.43 meters. Milner finished seventh in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.22.
Freshman TJ Brown of Independence, Mo. finished fourth in the long jump with a jump of 6.40 meters. Brown finished sixth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.17.
Freshman Colby Jenkins of Brunswick, Mo. finished fourth in the high jump with a jump of 1.90 meters.
Freshman Ethan Bennett of Milan, Mo. finished fifth in the long jump with a jump of 5.98 meters.
Sophomore Steven Skelton of Waynesville, Mo, finished fifth in the triple jump with a jump of 12.53 meters.
Freshman Gage Marshall of Middletown, Mo. finished fifth in the high jump with a jump of 1.85 meters.
Freshman Carter Moss of Centralia, Mo. finished fifth in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 16:03.82.
Freshman Jonah Slovensky of New Florence, Mo. finished sixth in the triple jump with a jump of 12.26 meters.
Sophomore Adam Broekemeier of Edwardsville, Ill. finished sixth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:00.86.
Sophomore Joseph Bland of Versailles, Mo. finished seventh in the shot put with a throw of 14.35 meters.
"We had a lot of great performances," said head coach Brad Hagedorn. "Our sprint group loved the warmer weather, many of them had career bests. We will continue to build on the momentum we have created in the last two weeks. We have a big test next weekend at SBU. Hopefully, we will hold up and compete well against some great competition."
SFCC will return to action on Saturday, March 28 at Southwest Baptist University.
