Roadrunners claim two event titles at the Darren Young Classic
Grinnell, Iowa-The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners men’s track and field team brought home nine top eight finishes from the Darren Young Classic on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 13-14 in Grinnell, Iowa.

Freshman Colby Jenkins of Brunswick Mo. finished first in the long jump with a jump of 6.45 meters. Jenkins finished fifth in the high jump with a jump of 1.90 meters. He finished sixth in the pole vault with a clearance of 2.55 meters.
Sophomore Zeshaun Ballance-Gray Kansas City, Mo. finished first in the triple jump with a jump of 14.42 meters.
Freshman Marcel Milner of Riverside, Mo. placed third in the triple jump with a jump of 13.33 meters.
Freshman Tony Linhart of Milan, Mo. finished fourth in the pole vault with a height of 3.30 meters.
Freshman Jonah Slovensky of New Florence, Mo. finished seventh in the triple jump with a jump of 11.47 meters.
Freshman Gage Marshall of Middletown, Mo. finished eighth in the high jump with a jump of 1.80 meters.
Freshman TJ Brown of independence, Mo. finished eighth in the long jump with a jump of 6.03 meters.
"It was a long trip to and from Grinnell, however, we rose to the task and competed extremely well," said head coach Brad Hagedorn. "We were able to get great wins out of Colby and Zeshaun, as well as a load of personal bests and season bests from the rest of our team. We conclude our indoor season next Friday at Illinois College."
SFCC will return to action on Friday, Feb. 20 at the Illinois College Hilltop Classic.
