Roadrunners grab second consecutive win
Kansas City, Mo.-The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners men’s soccer team (3-7, 2-0 in Region 16) won a 2-1 match against Metropolitan Community College on Tuesday, Sept. 30.

Kansas City, Mo.-The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners men's soccer team (3-7, 2-0 in Region 16) won a 2-1 match against Metropolitan Community College on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
SFCC opened the scoring with a goal off of a corner kick from freshman striker Mohammad Sami Goodarzi late in the first half. SFCC took the 1-0 advantage into halftime.
Metropolitan Community College tied the match with a goal early in the second half. SFCC scored what proved to be the game-winning goal later in the second half when sophomore striker Nathan McCollin received the ball, dribbled past two defenders and slid the ball across to Goodarzi for his second goal of the match.
Sophomore goalkeeper Michele Tafani got the start in goal for SFCC.
The Roadrunners will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 4 in another Region 16 match against St. Charles Community College in Cottleville, Mo. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
