Sedalia, Mo. – The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners soccer team fell 2-0 to Marshalltown Community College on Friday, Sept. 5 inside the Fred E. Davis Sports Complex.

Sept. 5 Marshalltown Community College at Sedalia
Sedalia, Mo. – The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners soccer team fell 2-0 to Marshalltown Community College on Friday, Sept. 5 inside the Fred E. Davis Sports Complex.
Marshalltown scored the first goal of the contest with less than 33 minutes remaining in the opening half. SFCC created offensive chances throughout the game but were unable to get on the scoreboard. Marshalltown scored what proved to be the final goal of the contest off a penalty kick with about 22 minutes remaining in the opening half.
Sophomore goalkeeper Michele Tafani got the start in goal for SFCC.
Sept. 6 John Wood Community College at Quincy, Illinois
Quincy Ill. – SFCC (0-5) lost a hard-fought 1-0 game to John Wood Community College on Saturday, Sept. 6.
John Wood scored the only goal in the game which was a defensive battle.
