Roadrunners fall in final game of the semester
St. Louis, Mo.-The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners men’s basketball team dropped a 76-62 decision to Lewis & Clark Community College on Sunday, Dec. 7 in St. Louis, Mo.
St. Louis, Mo.-The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners men's basketball team dropped a 76-62 decision to Lewis & Clark Community College on Sunday, Dec. 7 in St. Louis, Mo. The game was part of the Missouri-Illinois Junior College Basketball Shootout hosted by St. Louis Community College.
SFCC (9-8) trailed 34-32 at halftime. Lewis and Clark outscored SFCC 42-30 in the second half to secure the victory.
Freshman wing JP Ndong of Germany/Senegal led the team in scoring with 14 points and a team-high three steals. Freshman wing Da'Ron Hall of Nashville, Tenn. contributed 12 points and a team-high nine rebounds. Freshman guard/wing Andin Ashford of Wilkesboro, N.C. added 12 points and a team-high five assists. Sophomore wing Jai'Kori Phillps of Pine Bluff, Ark. registered a team-high two blocked shots.
As a team, SFCC shot 39% from the field and 24% beyond the three-point arc.
SFCC will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 3 with a road game against Coffeyville Community College. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
