Roadrunners fall to Cloud County Community College
West Burlington, Iowa- The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners men’s basketball team lost an 81-66 game to Cloud County Community College in the opening round of the Culver's Midwest Classic on Friday, Nov. 7 in West Burlington, Iowa.
West Burlington, Iowa- The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners men's basketball team lost an 81-66 game to Cloud County Community College in the opening round of the Culver's Midwest Classic on Friday, Nov. 7 in West Burlington, Iowa.
SFCC (2-2) trailed Cloud County 14-9 in the opening half. Cloud County stretched their advantage to 37-27 at halftime. Cloud County led 63-48 with less than nine minutes to go in the second half. Cloud County made the plays necessary to secure the victory.
Sophomore forward Malick Ndiaye led the team in scoring with 12 points. Ndiaye pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds to finish his double-double. Sophomore guard Gavin Q Murphy added 11 points. Freshman wing Da'Ron Hall pitched in with 10 points. Freshman guards Damian Dirden and Nate Wilder tied for the team lead in assists with three. Sophomore forward Daniel Garza and freshman guard Brycen Redmon tied for the team lead in steals with two.
