The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Athletic Department is looking for sponsors and participants for the 15th Annual SFCC Athletic Department Golf Tournament to be held on Monday, July 27 at the Sedalia Country Club. The funds raised at the event will benefit athletic scholarships at SFCC.
The proceeds from the event will go to the scholarship funds for each program: SFCC Athletics (All Sports), Track & Field and Cross Country, Bob Oehrke Memorial Scholarship (Women's Basketball), Kent Gwaltney Memorial Scholarship (Men's Basketball), Ross Dey Memorial Scholarship (Baseball), Mike Bryson Memorial Scholarship (Men and Women's Soccer), Mandy Thomas Memorial Scholarship (Softball), Shooting Sports, and Esports.
The event is once again a three-person scramble at a cost of $125 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf, cart, a multiple pin hole, and one mulligan per person per 18 holes. Lunch will also be served. There will be an 8 a.m. tee time and a 2 p.m. tee time. The payouts for the tournament are Sedalia Country Club Pro Shop credit based on a full field.
Participants will have the opportunity to bid on items like gift baskets and sports memorabilia as well as other items in a silent auction throughout the day. The live auction will begin after the conclusion of the afternoon tee time.
"We love this time of year and getting to see the support from the community," said Head Softball Coach Michele Rupard. "The money raised goes directly to scholarships which benefit our student-athletes. We are so thankful for all the participants and sponsors year in and year out. We look forward to seeing everyone at the tournament and auction."
Sponsorship opportunities at various levels are available for the event. Those wanting more information about sponsorship opportunities, donations, or to sign up a team can visit https://connect.sfccmo.edu/register/golftournament2026.
